Acupuncture

Acupuncture is all about redirecting the bodies innate intelligence to bring back balance and restore natural health, The bodies energy, in chinese Qi (Pronounced “Chi”) is not flowing properly it becomes stagnant and that is when pain, symptom and disease start to manifest. The body was designed to heal itself but sometimes it needs a little bit of help, like a reminder or little push, and that is what acupuncture does. It is done by placing thin, sterilized, single-use needles in certain acupuncture points, addressing the root of the problem, by which acupuncture points are stimulated regulating the energy flow and thereby affecting your body’s own healing response. This process of healing will address an individual’s imbalances with the ultimate goal of promoting health and well-being, preventing disease, and restoring balance.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a painless ancient Chinese medical technique that involves the use of small cups (glass,plastic/bamboo). A vacuum is created in the cup with the use of heat. Several cups are then placed over the area being treated with the intention of helping the body relieve muscle tension, they also open the pores to help release pathogens that cause you to feel under the weather so you can get better faster. Cupping helps the body detoxify by opening the pores and accelerating the release of toxins, and activating the lymphatic system and local blood vessels to restore proper flow

Electric Stimulation

While acupuncture has been used as an effective medical practice for thousands of years, E-Stim (electro) acupuncture is a fairly new but equally effective treatment. Originating in China during the 1930’s, E-Stim acupuncture involves the use of tiny electric currents, used in conjunction with traditional acupuncture needles and acupoints. As Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture have become increasingly popular in recent years, E-Stim acupuncture has proven to be a highly effective treatment for a number of illnesses and conditions.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha (pronounced “gwa sha“), or gentle scraping, is another traditional technique used to release muscle tension, tightness and constriction. This is a fantastic technique to help break down scar tissue from old injuries. A specialized tool is used to gently scrape or rub the skin over a problem area.It can also help increase immunity and release stress. Gua Sha feels similar to a deep massage and may also leave slight redness that will quickly dissipate.
